It’s not too often that I get excited about a movie. But right now, there’s TWO out there that have me all hyped up. And get this – they’re both about wrestling! Why do I continue to hate the business so much… yet, I still love it so much, as well?
It’s like a drug, I tell you! Like a drug!
Anyway, I recently purchased Bigger Stronger Faster on DVD. I was shocked to see that it had been released. Last I saw, it was being released in select theaters. Once I saw it, I had to snag it. (see trailer below)
If you haven’t heard of it – it’s basically a documentary about wrestling, Hollywood, boxers and all pro athletes using steroids. Also, it allegedly shows how dumb our government officials really are when it comes to this topic. They’re not as smart as they lead us to believe.
I saw the trailer and it hooked me. I’ll be watching this movie in the next few days and I’ll post a review on it, once I’m done.
Another movie that’s gotten much more publicity is The Wrestler, featuring Mickey Rourke. I have a sneak peak copy on it’s way to my penthouse, as I type this. I will be watching The Wrestler within the next week or so and I’ll have all the gory details for everyone to read.
Vince McMahon didn’t like it. Ron Killings did. Roddy Piper did. What will Dustin Starr think? The character and look is based on Lex Luger… but what about Jerry Lynn. Very eerie!
I’m sure you’re all on the edge of your seats awaiting how many “Starrs” Dustin Starr will give these movies!
