This is a cool dude. I was a little skeptical, at first. You know, with the collagen lips and all – it’s tough for me to get past that. I hate his lips! But now, after seeing this quote, he’s definitely over big time with me.
I ran across a story on some random website and saw a quote from Mickey Rourke AKA The Wrestler… AKA Randy “The Ram” Robinson. It’s actually from an interview with The NBC Washington Affiliate. If I had a link to the interview, I’d post it here. But, I don’t have the link… I only have the quote.
Anyway, in the article, they discuss Rourke’s comments in regards to using steroids in preparation for the film. Mickey Rourke is quoted as saying, “When I’m a wrestler, I act like a wrestler”. How freakin’ funny is THAT? So, to hell with denying the facts and trying to work the people. Rourke is letting you draw your own conclusion – or he’s just simple fessing up to the fact that he did it like most wrestlers truly do it! He took the GAS! (gas is the wrestling term for steroids)
Take a look at the picture. Was “The Ram” juicing it up for his role in The Wrestler? I’m pretty sure he was. All Hollywood actors do it that way. Wrestlers and actors are very similar. Especially, actors who play wrestlers in movies.
