I’m in Pain

vday-ewe1I don’t think I’m old.  I’m only twenty-six years old.  But after I wrestle, I seem to be very sore the next day.  Sometimes, like today, it’s pretty excruciating.  Keep in mind – I have been wrestling since I was fifteen years old.  So, maybe the years of pounding and bumping are finally starting to take its toll.  I can’t just kip up the next day anymore.  It takes a day or so to recover.

So, place wrestling and the toll it takes on your body on the list with working out five or six days per week for the last ten years and what do you get?  You get someone who’s constantly sore all the time.  The working out is a good soreness.  The wrestling is a painful soreness.  I haven’t missed a day in the gym in a long, long time.  Several years, in fact.  I’ve only recently started missing wrestling dates – Riverkings’ games have saved me from that punishment.  But the list gets longer every single week of things that are sore after a match.

Last night, I wrestled Jon Michael in front of a JAM-PACKED Ripley, TN crowd.  Then, I headed over to Dyersburg to headline their show in a battle with Baron Malkivain, that’s been building for a month.  So, I was set to go all-out and do whatever it took to give the fans what they expect from me – a Five Starr match.  Both matches have had the build-up for something special.  So, I wasn’t going to cheat any bumps… or dodge any bullets, even.
