Check this out:
We’re doing some very good things in Ripley, TN. Good booking. Good stories. Good matches. And a very good build-up to the biggest show of the year. Not only is the show well-run, but it’s also a very tight-knit locker room. No fighting. No back-stabbing. No wondering whether your money will be there at the end of the night or not. It’s just a very good place to work, at this point in time.
In the past, I have been very critical about some of the things they’ve done. At this point in time, though, they’re on a very good path. The March to Mayhem, as they like to call it, is underway. Mayhem is May 30th. Currently, I’ll be headlining the show with Stan Lee in an EWE Heavyweight Championship match. Stan’s the Champ and I’m the number one contender after obtaining the Elite 8 Ticket.
Along with the March to Mayhem, I had the opportunity to do some very fun stuff, this weekend. Well, besides the fact of having to wait around in a small, cramped-up bathroom for over an hour and a half, waiting on the show to begin. As I waited for Stan to do his interview at the beginning of the show, I had a promo play on the big screen, prompting everyone to think I was not there.
Cinemaxx did a great job on this, by the way. It was fun to do. It really helped the storyline. AND look at what happened in the aftermath:
One of the best things about this company is the fact that their videos are posted every week for everyone to see. Go to EWE’s site to see them for yourself. The building was jam-packed this week, with what I think was 200 or more people. That’s a good thing, leading into a big show like Mayhem. Also, with the big riff in Dyersburg, last week… I wouldn’t be surprised to see a very familiar face make his return to Ripley, very soon. I’m thinking things might turn in a FLASH.
Hint not so suttle, huh?
