Body-sculpting

Am I vain?  Egotistical?  Cocky?  Conceited?  All of you would certainly have a different opinion based on how well you know me.  Some of you do not know me, at all.  You know only what I write and how I perform inside the squared circle.  Some of you know me personally and have a deeper look into the real Dustin.  Then again, some of you are viewing me for the very first time, right now.  Whether you’ve seen me before or you’re seeing me for the very first time – think back about your first impression of me.  Before you ever met me… you just saw me.  What did you first think?

I’ve heard every opinion imaginable.  Many of you think I’m a jerk before I ever say hello.  That opinion is based on how I look or how I act in the ring.  Some think I’m a meat-head, obviously based on my appearance.  I’ve heard a few different first impression opinions that I’m willing to share with you all – “dumb, conceited, cocky, gay, a jerk…” the list goes on and on.  But why?  Why such a negative opinion before ever meeting me?

During a recent photo shoot, I heard a comment that hit me like a cold slap in the face.

I’ve posted a sneak peak of my newest photo shoot on my Twitter account.  Check it out by going to Dustin Starr’s Twitter.  As you know, I’m constantly posting comments, updates and photos of my daily activities.  You might want to really start following it because big things are happening and they’re happening quickly. 

This is another photo from my latest shoot.  Let me know what you think about the images.  I’m proud of them and plan to post them all on my Flickr account, within the next few days.  Also, a blog will follow regarding a comment from the photographer.  He says I’m a “body sculpter”.  Interesting and have never heard that before.

RasslinRiotOnline.com was in attendence at EWE’s Super Summer Showdown, last night.  Brian and Kayte Tramel were kind enough to snap a few pictures of yours truly that will be posted here, as well.  Brian and I took a very funny picture that I can’t wait for everyone to see.  It’s sort of like a before and after picture.  I just hope that it’s not MY future.  You’ll understand when you see it.  Be sure to check out Brian’s EWE Quick Results.  Of course, I retained the EWE Heavyweight Championship at Super Summer Showdown.  Was there any doubt?

Last night in Wynne, AR, I went toe to toe for the very first time against Austin Lane!  I will have many thoughts on that match, Austin Lane, the crowd in Wynne and the promotion itself later this afternoon.

A Five Starr Weekend

What a weekend it was, indeed.  I would certainly call it a Five Starr weekend, especially when it comes to wrestling.  Not only did I make my return to Ripley, TN… but I had a high-profile match in Dyersburg, TN, as well.  I love wrestling in Ripley and there’s nothing like performing in front of a packed house in Dyersburg.  I have a lot of history with both towns.

Ripley has a good thing going on… they just have trouble drawing from time to time.  But I can certainly see this turning around in the near future.  I know of a few things they’re working on and it will definitely peak the fan’s interest.  Oh yeah – and I’m back, too.  What more could you ask for?

Other than the locker room brawl in Dyersburg, I would say that I had a successful night.  My match was much better than I could’ve expected.  I just wish the company did a better job on time management to make that big crowd want to come back the next week.  We’ll see how that works out.  There’s no reason that a wrestling show should last from 8PM til 12AM.  To me, it’s ridiculous.

Here’s a small quote from the report on RRONews.com – “Starr was clearly a heel, but got a “star” reaction coming out. The fans here look at him as a step above some of the established talent and give him respect.“

WWE Hall of Fame 2009

Take a look at the updated Five Starr Photos section of the site!  Brand new pictures from Houston, Texas have been posted for you all to see.  I have more to come, as well as some video from WrestleMania and the Hall of Fame.

It was a weekend that I will never forget, that’s for sure.  The experience was priceless and I want to share several stories with you all throughout this week.  So, be sure to check in every single day for a new story.  I really can’t do the trip justice by posting tidbits here and there… jumbled all into the same blog.  Also, I’ll be answering any questions that you may have about my very first WrestleMania and Hall of Fame.

This picture is of me at the 2009 Hall of Fame.  I have many more pictures to post in the coming days, but I just wanted to get the best up first.  Pretty good seats, huh?  I also was able to walk that isle, like only I could do, and head to my seat.  Too bad I didn’t get a pop like some of the others did.  I guess they haven’t heard – I’m kind of a big deal in certain areas.

Anyway – the new pictures are from me arriving at the hotel (the 2nd one, that is), at the hotel pool, getting ready for the Hall of Fame, the Hall of Fame itself and from Friday night’s Houston Astros baseball game at Minute Maid Park.

Do I really have to come back to Memphis?  I had so much fun, it’s depressing to a certain extent for it to actually end.  Need I mention that I’ve updated my schedule appearances for the coming weekend?  Check me out live this weekend in Ripley and Dyersburg.  Back to the grind…

Also, be on the lookout for my fondest WrestleMania memories, this week.  Also, I’d like to hear yours!  I’ll be digging into my memory bank to reveal my favorite WrestleMania moments throughout my childhood.  I’ll try to give you a fan-based opinion of those memories and not the “wrestler’s” standpoint.  I know I’ve said it here before, but I can’t look at wrestling the same as I used to.  But I can recall the things in the past that make me love the business now that I’m in it.

Be on the lookout for the WrestleMania moments and new pictures.  They’re being posted everyday!  And if you’re not a friend on Myspace… then, what are you waiting for?

Minglewood Hall Photos – Five-Starr-Style!

Just like the fan in the picture is saying, “Hey – go check out these new Minglewood Hall photos!”

As much as the OTHER websites like to deny it – Dustin Starr made his triumphant return to Memphis Wrestling, last Saturday night (Feb. 28th) at Minglewood Hall in Memphis, TN. I went head to head with “The New Nature Boy” Kevin White and his valet Sue Young.  They didn’t play nice or fair, as you can see in the pictures!

Several pictures have been posted courtesy of John Herrada and C.A.M. Photography.  Negotiations are in the works right now to make John the official Five Starr Photographer.  These shots are amazing.  John did an excellent job of shooting the match and shooting the fans, as well.  Enjoy the best photos of the night!
