Dustin Starr – The Starr Treatment

Are you ready???

supersummershowdownIt’s almost here!  Tomorrow night at 7PM, one of the biggest local wrestling events of the year will be taking place!  Take a look at the poster… the best of the best are scheduled for this show!  Oh, and Seth Knight will be there too!  But in all honesty, I can’t wait to see the turn-out!  I’m expecting all my followers and all of my backers to be there to support me and to support the show!  Did I mention it is a FREE SHOW!?

There’s a few very interesting tidbits surrounding this show.  This will be the second supercard in a row where Stan Lee and I headline the event.  At Mayhem, a few months back, I lost to Stan Lee in an EWE Heavyweight Championship match-up.  This time around, I will be defending the EWE Heavyweight title against Stan.  After Mayhem, big things started poppin’ for yours truly.  Will it repeat, this time around?  You’ll just have to wait and see…

Derrick King will step in the ring with Bishop.  Bishop is a guy that I’ve been praising quite a bit lately.  The guy has really gotten better.  He moves better in the ring.  He’s more fluid in what he does.  Every movement seems to mean something.  I think the guy’s actually learning how to WORK.  That’s very important… and I’m expecting big things for this match.  Seeing how Derrick is the BEST in the area… Bishop needs to prove that he belongs.  Here’s your shot, big man.

It’s always great to see Jon Michael, Christian Jacobs, The Golden Boy… and of course, Mr. Big Stuff on the card, all at the same time!  Throw Genocide in there and you’ve got all my favorite independent workers on the same show at the same time.  Imagine that?  Dustin Starr actually liking a line-up… very weird!  It really says a lot about the crew that will be performing on this show.

I said it before and I’ll say it again – DON’T MISS THIS SHOW!

Oh, and Derrick King… if you’re reading this – I’m sorry to tell you that you’re NOT headlining.  The main event has been saved for the NEW RRO WRESTLER OF THE YEAR.  That’s right.  Main Event belongs to the EWE Heavyweight Champion and former two-time RRO Horizon Starr of the Year.

The Main Event belongs to DUSTIN “FIVE” STARR.  Thank you very much.

I Love Reports

v1You gotta love how the internet reports on shows.  Some of the quotes are fantastic.  I just so happened to be reading the latest report for New Blood Wrestling in Newburn, TN.  I have some friends who wrestle there – and I’m always following opportunities.

Brian Tramel and I don’t see eye to eye very often when it comes to reports.  We actually have two totally different views on most of the business.  I hate how he puts everything over so strong… but on the other hand, I know that he’s just trying to be positive.  But in the latest NBW report, I couldn’t help but to laugh.  Especially, since I’m so close to the situation.

I’m only going to rip a quote or two and post them here – but you can view the rest on the link below.

“Seth Knight was originally scheduled to work Sarge… but their match was called off. I was told it was probably a good thing because Seth was not in any condition to work…”

Hilarious.  Calling out Seth Knight for not being in “any condition to work”.  I popped when I read that.  Seth had a little too much to drink?  Or was he drugged up?  Or perhaps, he was incarcerated?  I love it.  By the way, Seth Knight left Dyersburg when he saw me in the dressing room.  I picked on him too much, so he says.  Then, he quit Ripley, TN when I showed up there.  I guess the rumors were correct – he’s dodging Five Starr.  I’m glad to know that I have that big of an impact on the kid.  My next booking may be in Newburn.  Maybe I can run him out of the business altogether! My Reply

d17Thank you all for your comments and insight from the last few days.  You make my job much easier when you voice your opinions. Also, it keeps me in tune with what you want to read about. From what I can tell, you like to hear stories that you shouldn’t… And you like when I potentially get myself in trouble.

Just to clarify a few things regarding my blog about blowing the chance of a lifetime – I was not referring to Brian Christopher. I was actually referring to another friend of mine whom actually broke down in tears while telling the story. It was from WCW when the talent relations manager was Terry Taylor.

This friend actually gave me permission, so to speak, to post the blog. He also wanted me to reveal his name. I won’t do that though. I asked him about telling his story before I just did it. I could elaborate a little more on the details… But the jist of it is simple enough. He drank too much while hanging out with the boys, said some things he shouldn’t have and ended up in the drunk tank… Jobless.

Maxx – I couldn’t agree with you more. Until you rid yourself of the problem, you can’t move forward in life (or career).

I always seem to get a few comments that aren’t too friendly. Why do I blog?  Simple. I give you entertainment and something to read and engage with. Keep posting comments. I love it.  And I think it’s hilarious that the one comment has Seth Knight mentioned in the same sentence as teenage girls.  That’s an inside joke.

Thanks for reading. I want to talk about A-Rod next. And trust me, my opinion is totally different from all the rest you’ve heard. If you don’t know what happened, just Google him.

I am THE MAN

31Pretty cut and dry.  The title of the blog says it all.  I tried to give credit where it was due in the last blog.  A few of the fans have come to my defense, so to speak.  Other, well… they’ve tried to take credit from me.  What’s new?  One comment even stated that the crowds in Ripley, TN have been down since I’ve been away.  I guess they don’t enjoy seeing a wrestler in a dress, huh?

The fact of the matter is this – I help whomever I’m in the ring with.  I help give them credibility.  I help get them over.  I help peak interest in the fans.  I help the box office.  I help every way possible.  But for some reason, no one wants to give the bad guy credit.  Let’s face it – a baby face is NOTHING without them wrestling someone who is hated by everyone in the building.  Plain and simple.

In response to the comments made by Tim Grind – your argument will be very hard to believe, my friend.  Seth Knight?  You know you don’t believe that Seth Knight could do anything better than me.  Let’s be honest.  Screetch… err… Seth has never been relevant in anything he’s ever done and never will.  And when you were working with me, I was selling out the baseball fields and National Guard Armories for TLCW.  Don’t forget that.  (more…)

My Weekend

blog-iconI wanted to make a quick post moving through the weekend.  I generally take the weekends off, for the most part, when it comes to blogging.  But I’m loving some of the happenings this weekend, so I decided to tell you all about it.

My fantasy football team, The Miami Five Starr, is in the Super Bowl against the Italian Spidermen.  Have you seen the Italian Spiderman video on YouTube?  If you haven’t, you’re the only one who hasn’t.  My eyes will be glued to the television, as I win my very first fantasy football Championship.  Remember to check the Twitter updates to see how I’m doing.

All I can say is go Matt Cassel and go Randy Moss.  I’m relying on them.

TLCW drew thirty fans, last night.  That has to be the worst crowd I’ve ever heard of being at their show.  Remember, just last year… or earlier THIS year, we were packing that place out.  Tell me I’m the only one who isn’t happy with the booking and the way things are handled in Ripley.  The numbers don’t lie.

I wrestled Seth Knight last night.  Enough about that.

Christmas is coming up very quickly.  Are you finished with all your shopping?  I haven’t just yet.  I’m almost finished though.  I am a huge mark for Christmas ornaments though, so I’ll be looking forward to the week-after sales.

Photos from the Ugly Sweater Christmas Party will be posted shortly.  Also, I’ll have a funny story/picture about how the emcee of the Dirty Santa game got color the hard way during the gift trading.  I’m not kidding – he got busted open for real, the hard way, during a game of Dirty Santa.  I placed second in the contest, by the way… and I decorated my sweater myself.

My current shoot weight is 205.

Be sure to check out the funny response to the “Richard” comment made yesterday.  Is it REALLY Richard?  Hilarious comment.
