Bill DundeeOne of my childhood favorites that I have been very fortunate to work with and get to know during my wrestling career, “SuperStar” Bill Dundee has launched his brand new website.

Click here to check it out.

On the site, you can find out about upcoming events, appearances, Bill’s autobiography & even order old school Bill Dundee products & memorabilia.

The image shown is from one of Bill’s classic T-Shirts you can order on the site.  Dundee will personalize any order with an autograph.

I have a quick Bill Dundee story that I will never, ever forget.  It was Lawler v Dundee at the Mid-South Coliseum.  And to us Memphis Wrestling fans, Lawler v Dundee was like Rock v Austin.  It didn’t get any bigger than that.

I was walking thru the concourse of the Coliseum with my parents (I was maybe 10 years old) when we ran into “The SuperStar” himself.  I was star-struck (pun intended).  I couldn’t speak.  Bill spoke to my parents before turning his attention to me.  I was wearing an old Jerry “The King” Lawler T-Shirt.

Bad timing.

Bill looked right at me and asked, “Boy… where the hell did you get that shirt?”

Years later, I would step in the ring with Bill Dundee.  Stop by his website & order some merch.  Believe me, he’s a legend that’s definitely worth getting the fan’s support.

Kevin Cerrito and Marcus Hunter host MemphiSport Live (MSL) on Sports 56 & 87.7 FM every Saturday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. MSL was voted 3rd Best Sports Radio Show in the 2010 & 2011 Memphis Flyer Best of Memphis poll.

Don Bass TributeTonight, tonight, tonight!  For one night only, Dustin Starr & Maria Garay will head to Ramer, TN to pay tribute to a Memphis Wrestling & Mid-South Wrestling legends, “The Outlaw” Don Bass.

Don Bass was one-half of the main event tag team, The Assassins.  The hooded black & yellow tag team ran rough-shot through their opponents for many years before Don Bass decided to rid himself of the mask & replace it with a cowboy hat.  From there, he was known as “The Singing Cowboy” Don Bass.

Jeff Jarrett is famous for swinging his guitar at his opponent’s heads.  Well, that was a tactic perfected & invented by none other than “The Outlaw” himself.

Don Bass is responsible for training Dustin Starr and breaking him into the world of professional wrestling over fifteen years ago.

Starr will go one on one with another one of Don Bass’ students, Derrick King.  King has also helped Five Starr along the way, as he took Starr under his wing & provided the guidance for much bigger & better success within sports entertainment.  DK will have his hands full, as the lovely Maria could very well be the wild card in this match-up.

Do not miss this one night only event!

When:  Tonight, July 5th at 7PM

Where:  Ramer, TN (see flyer)

Why:  To pay tribute to “The Outlaw” Don Bass
